Use Card Games to Review Basic Math Facts

Reinforce your child's basic math skills with an alternative version of the game Go Fish. For this game, label three sets of index cards with the numbers 0-10, or pull three sets of numbers from a deck of traditional playing cards. (In this case, make the aces ones and the queens zeros.) Then, instead of searching for matching cards like you usually do when you play Go Fish, try to collect sets of two cards that add up to the number ten. Once you've played a few rounds, try changing the rules of the game to focus on your child's subtraction, multiplication, or division skills.
