Turn Up the "Applause" with Clapping Games

There’s a very good reason the song/play activity “If you’re happy and you know it, clap your hands!” is a perennial favorite among the under-2 set. Clapping is a motor skill, and it just makes everyone feel good.Use the song to “help” your baby figure out how to clap – pause during the singing to hold her hands and gently clap them together.
