Try a Graphic Novel: "The Invention of Hugo Cabret"

Give your child the graphic novel and 2008 Caldecott Medal winner, The Invention of Hugo Cabret, by Brian Selznick. Hugo is an orphan who lives in the walls of a train station. His recently deceased father left behind a robot, and Hugo becomes obsessed with fixing it. Filled with intricate drawings and suspense, this illustrated novel is sure to appeal to your child.
