Play with items with a variety of “feels.” The sensory stimulation is great for baby, and it begins teaching her about her physical environment. For example, let her feel the silky edge of a baby blanket, or the nubby yarn of a crocheted blanket; a toy whose plastic is perfectly smooth, versus a toy that’s squishy.
