Teach Your Child to Pack His Own Lunches

Give your child some of the responsibility for packing lunches each day. Start by making a list of suitable lunch components, like sandwiches, yogurts, fruits, vegetables, and snacks. Then make a rotating schedule of what to pack each day. Vegetables can be cut up in advance and stored in air-tight containers. Then, either first thing in the morning or the night before, your child can simply assemble the items you've already planned together.
