Teach Your Child How to Use Math Doubles

Once your child memorizes math doubles – like 8+8 – he'll be ready to use those skills to solve more complex math problems. For example, when calculating 7+8 in his head, he can first think of 7+7, which equals 14. This allows him to quickly realize that 7+8 would be one more than 7+7, so 7+8 must be 15. Then take turns solving problems together!
