Teach Your Child How to Interpret Data on an Infographic

Information graphics use pictures to convey information. For example, many beaches have infographic signs posted to teach swimmers how to escape from a rip tide current. When you come across an infographic in the newspaper, online, or while going about your daily life, share it with your child and ask her to interpret the information being presented. Many infographics include data in the form of tables or charts. Ask your child to explain what the data means and how it could be useful to the reader.
