Teach Sign Language With This Klutz Printable

Learn the American Manual Alphabet with your elementary schooler using this Klutz printable. Teach your independent reader that this is the same alphabet used by the deaf to communicate. Let your child know how valuable it is to learn a second language, but then make the experience into a fun game. First, practice mimicking the sign for each letter of the alphabet with your child. Then create secret messages and sign them back and forth with your child! Keep the messages short — you could even stick to abbreviated lingo from text messages, like "LOL" or "IDK."
