Teach Fractions Using Money
To help your child grasp the concept of fractions, fold a piece of paper in half twice. In the first box, put one quarter. In the second, third, and fourth boxes put 2, 3, and 4 quarters, respectively. Then, ask your child to write a fraction for each one. If necessary, demonstrate the first fraction by writing 1/4 in the box.
