Teach Adjectives by Describing the World Around You
Adjectives are words that describe nouns. For example, when you ask, "Did you see that brown dog?" “brown” is an adjective describing the noun “dog.” Review this concept with your child, and ask her to describe 10 things around you, wherever you are. As she describes a noun she selects, ask her to restate the adjective that describes it.
