Switch Roles from Reader to Listener in Read-Alouds
Choose a book that you'd both enjoy reading (fiction or nonfiction). Then, set a number of minutes and time to meet for each day. Each meeting, alternate who reads and who listens. Your child will not only benefit from hearing and decoding the book, he or she will also benefit from your tangible investment in his or her reading ability.
