Sunny Day? Try Mess-Free Water "Painting"

Your toddler can walk and talk and climb—but her finer motor skills may need some time to catch up, which makes many parents reluctant to break out art materials like paint. Here’s an idea: on a warm, sunny day, fill a plastic beach pail with water, give your child a clean, thick-handled paintbrush, and let her “paint” driveways and sidewalks.
