Sun Protection Is a Necessity
There are many excuses why sunscreen isn’t applied. But, skin cancer has been linked to a history of sunburns, particularly in the first decade of a child’s life. Help prevent nasty burns by following these steps with your child: Avoid the sun between 10 AM-4 PM, apply sunscreen of SPF 30 or higher every 1.5-2 hours, and wear protective clothing when at all possible.
