Storyboards Help Readers Keep Track of the Facts

Create a storyboard to help your child follow her reading assignment. If you're unfamiliar with the concept, it looks like a comic strip, where parts of the plot are drawn above a summary of that part. So, when your daughter starts a novel, print or design a storyboard template, and have her draw and summarize what's happening every few pages or so.
