Start a Weekly Reflection
Each week, your child encounters successes and failures, but he may not remember the reasons for each if there is no time to reflect. Sit with your kid every week for a reflection. Talk about successes -- maybe a great quiz grade -- and failures, such as a lost essay. Help your child analyze the reasons behind each so she learns from both successes and failures.
