Star Light, Star Bright, First Star I See Tonight

Many smart phones now have apps that will map the night sky. On a clear night, find a dark spot and, using the app, look up and try to identify visible stars and planets. Let your kids hold the phone and pick a constellation; then work with them to locate it in the sky. Ask kids to pick out as many as they can and jot down the names. Afterwards, tell them to go inside and draw a picture of what they just saw!
