Sprinkling Fun

Fill a child-size watering can with just enough water so that your child can carry it easily. Go outside in the yard or on the sidewalk and sprinkle various surfaces with water. Show your toddler how the sidewalk gets darker when it’s wet, the grass gets slicker, or how the water beads up on leaves. Talk about how the grass or flowers are getting a drink.
