Sorting and Counting Objects

Your child can likely understand the basic relationship between a numeral (one, two, three) and objects. Help him improve those math skills by encouraging him to categorize and count, as best he can. For instance, he can separate a pile of vehicles into types – cars, trucks, trains – then count how many there are in each group.
