Teaching your baby a few, rudimentary signs, such as those for “nurse” or “milk,” or for the ever-popular “more” give her a less frustrating way to communicate her needs. And don’t worry that learning signs will somehow delay spoken language — she’ll begin speaking when she’s ready no matter what she’s able to “say” with her hands.
