Sign-Counting Game

Next time you’re going in the car for more than a few minutes, give your child a small chalkboard or clipboard with a paper that lists, in words and/or pictures, a few things she might see from her window. For example, stop signs, traffic lights, trucks, or a person on a bike or walking. Ask her to make an “X” or a check mark next to the word or picture each time she sees that item on her list. When you arrive, ask her to count how many of each thing she spotted.
