Shaking Up a Bottle of Glittery Fun

Take a plastic bottle and fill it three-quarters with water. Fill the rest of the way with baby oil. Now drop in some glitter, small sequined shapes, and/or small cut-up foam shapes (like stars and moons, for example). You can also add a drop or two of food coloring. Cover very tightly and let your child shake it, stare at it, roll it on the floor, and so on to stimulate visual learning, teach about colors, and build an appreciation for art.
