Setting the Scene With Sensory Images

Here’s a fun prompt for kids with writing fever. Make a list of 5 of each of the following: a specific object (a tattered blanket); a sound (buzz); a temperature indicator (frost on a window); a scent (rotten garbage); and a taste (tangy raspberry). Have your kid choose one from each category and write a short story using each of the 5 picks!
