Scratch Out The Extra Words
To help your kids remember whether to use "I" or "me", have them get rid of the extra words near the pronoun. “You and me have homework” becomes "Me have homework." Getting rid of the "You and…" clarifies the inaccurate pronoun. “The teacher told Alex and I to stop,” becomes, "The teacher told I to stop," which is also obviously wrong.
