Scoop Up, Pour Out

Try to find a variety of bowls, measuring cups, and other containers. Use your different-sized containers to scoop and pour sand, beans, or water from a large bucket into empty bowls. For the littlest kids, this is a great way to hone hand-eye coordination. Also, introduce concepts: Which container will hold more: the shallow one or the round one?
