Sand + Water = Learning Fun

The best way to teach kids about scientific properties and the natural world is to let them touch things. At the beach your child can learn about solids and liquids. Show her how to scoop sand into a bucket of water. Let her lift up a handful of wet sand and feel it drip through her fingers. Can't get to the beach? Buy playground sand and create the same experiment at home.
