Properly Advocating for Your Child
Develop a relationship with your child’s teacher at the beginning of the year. If a problem occurs, don’t immediately be reactive. Get the details and talk to the teacher. If the problem isn’t solved, escalate it at that point. Keep records and get other parents involved if necessary. Finally, know your rights, and avoid the blame game!
