Practice Math in the Produce Department

In the grocery store produce department, ask your child to estimate how much a certain fruit or vegetable weighs. Then, let her place the item on the scale and read the results. Take the exercise further by asking questions such as: "I need three pounds of potatoes. How many potatoes do you think that will be?" Use the scale to determine the answer together.
