Practice Makes Us Better, Not Perfect

The phrase "practice makes perfect" is misleading. Practicing doesn't always make us perfect at what we're doing. So instead, encourage your child to practice by reminding him that "practice makes us better." And when we get better at what we're doing, we enjoy it more. Share personal examples from your own life about practicing a new skill.
