Practice Cursive Writing

As your child begins to learn and master cursive writing techniques, give her plenty of opportunities to practice her new skills. For example, as you're making your grocery list for the week, ask her to write it out in script for you. Or, if there are thank-you letters to be sent out following a holiday or birthday party, have her write them in cursive. Knowing that you value her writing, and that it serves a purpose, you will encourage her to do her best as she masters the skill of writing in script.
