Playing Post Office

Want a use for all that junk mail, before you recycle or shred it? Make a mail-sorting game. Your child can take a stack of envelopes and sort them into separate boxes, bins or baskets by size, color, or some other criteria you make up. When she’s had her fill of sorting, she can practice her scissoring skills by snipping off stamps (which she can then sort or save for a stamp collection).
