Play "What Do You Like Better?"

Come up with two things related to your child's schoolwork, and ask her which one she likes better. For example, "Which do you like better: science or social studies?" or "Which president would you rather interview – George Washington or Barak Obama?" This exercise will help her think about what she's learning in a different context, and it will also give you insight into what she enjoys most about school. Give her the opportunity to pose "What do you like better?" questions to you, too.
