Plant a Garden With Math
When you’re planning a family garden, have your child figure out the dimensions! Send her outside with a measuring tape to figure how long and wide the garden should be based on the numbers and types of plants (e.g., 4 different types of veggies and 10 plants each.) After measuring, insist on a drawing of the garden to scale with marks for each row.
