Physics Lesson With Cars

Get a long cardboard tube, such as that from wrapping paper, and some toy cars small enough to fit inside. Prop one end up a couple of feet, such as on the edge of the couch or a chair. Have your child send the cars through to the other end. Explain how gravity is what pulls them down. Play with moving the tube’s end up a bit, slowing or stopping the cars as they travel through.
