Peek-a-Boo Power

No one needs to tell a parent of a young baby how to play peek-a-boo, but did you know what it does for your baby’s language development? As you hide (behind a blanket, around a doorframe, behind the couch) and then pop up to say peek-a-boo, your child is learning about turn taking, a foundation of language development. She’s also picking up on social cues (reading the joy in your face and matching it with her own giggles). Play it as long as she likes it and is laughing along.
