Pasta of Many Colors

Make your child’s pasta crafts more colorful. Here’s how to dye pasta for later use: Put a cup or two of dry pasta, a half-cup of rubbing alcohol, and about 10 drops of food coloring in a sturdy Ziploc. Seal and tape shut. Spread it flat on a cookie sheet (in case of drips) and let sit for a couple of hours, turning every so often. Drain, remove the pasta, and spread out to dry. Supervise your child as he creates fun pasta art.
