Pantry Plate

Have your child take a look at your crowded pantry and, with a food plate handy, begin a journey through nutrition. Clean the pantry out with your child present and have him or her help you decide what to keep and throw out! Discuss the food groups as you go along, explaining the reasons why some foods are more beneficial than others. When everything is cleaned out and your pantry is healthy again, give your child a small treat for all his hard work – after all, sweets are meant to be eaten sparingly!
