Painting With Baby Food
If your child is still in the “everything goes in his mouth” phase, try finger-painting with baby food! Use strained carrots (for orange), green beans or peas (for green), plum (for red), blueberry (for purple), and apple or banana (for yellow). The idea is not to eat the artwork, of course, but if your baby puts his food-covered fingers in his mouth, no harm done. Instead of paper, use a clean, plastic placemat for this “canvas.”
