Open a Savings Account for Your Child

Talk with your child about the importance of saving money. If she doesn't have her own bank account yet, take her to the bank and open one together. Encourage her to deposit a portion of her money in the account. And if she already has a savings account, take the time to review her bank statements with her and teach her how money earns interest.
