One-on-One Communication

Despite the eye rolls and slammed doors, tweens do value one-on-one time with their parents. Try and consider fun activities you and your child can do together. Have a girls’ day at the spa, go rock climbing in an indoor gym, etc. By participating in an activity together it allows for natural conversations to arise.
