Object Labeling

A major way you can help your baby build vocabulary is by labeling objects around him. “That’s your highchair!” “Do you see the red fire engine?” “Look at the moon!” But don’t constantly direct your child’s attention. Babies learn better when you make an effort to label things they already seem interested in. That’s how you can be sure your child connects the word to the right object.
