Teach your child a lesson in the cardinal directions: north, south, east, and west. If your child’s room faces east, explain what that means (the sun rises in the east, so she sees it first in her east-facing window). Try an activity like having her follow simple directions (two steps north, one step east, etc.) to find a hidden toy.
