Narrating Actions

Young children often narrate their actions with words. You may find your child talking to herself while working or playing outside. She may be figuring out how to solve a problem or she may be engaging in pretend play. It shouldn’t be at all worrisome; in fact, it’s an important shift in the way your child uses language.
