Visit the nearest art museum (check around to find free or reduced-cost admission days) and set out on a fun and simple search. Find a painting with an animal, one with a lot of blue; find four pictures of buildings. If your child has a favorite piece, see if there’s a postcard at the gift shop so he can start his own collection.
