Model Executive Function

Executive functions refer to the skill of connecting something we need to do in the present to something done in the past. Kids who lack these skills have difficulty starting new tasks because they don't make the connection to things they've done before. Help your child develop these skills and verbalize your thought process when you're starting something new, like making a list.
