Math Trivia #3: Adding Fractions
April and her two friends went for a manicure-pedicure. There were 10 nail polishes to choose from. April chose 3 colors, Tanya chose 4 colors, and Maya chose 1. Which fraction of the available colors, reduced to lowest terms, did the girls choose? Answer: There were 10 polishes available, and the girls chose 8, they chose 8/10. Reduced to lowest terms: 4/5.
