Match It Up

Matching sets is an important early-math skill. To encourage it, play this simple matching game. Provide sets of familiar household items like a pot and its lid, a container and its cover, a toy bat and ball, a brush and comb, and a shoe and sock. Mix them all up on the floor, and work with your child to put like sets together to stimulate early reasoning skills.
