Map Out Your Kid's Week

It seems that every kid is involved in 14 different activities, so how do you fit homework in? Think of your kid's studies in terms of a week rather than a day. Map out the week in a spreadsheet. Block out sleeping, school, and mealtimes, and include time for homework. Then, encourage your child to take charge of managing the schedule. Get started during the summer, substituing school with day camp or other activities, to ensure a smooth transition once autumn rolls around!
