Making a "Shapely" Caterpillar

Work on your child’s shape-recognition skills and have fun with a glue-stick art project at the same time. You can cut out the shapes (circles, squares, rectangles) or do it together if he’s handy with scissors, then have your child plan out the caterpillar’s pattern of shapes and colors. Finally, have your child glue the shapes down on a piece of construction paper with a glue stick.
