Making Mixed-Color Waves

For this activity, you’ll need a freezer bag, corn syrup, and different colors of liquid food color. Pour corn syrup into the bottom of the bag and stand it up with the top propped open. Add a drop or two of one color (red) on one side; and a drop or two of another (blue) on the other. Show your child how the colors spread, then tilt the bag, creating waves and allowing the colors to blend.
