Making Chimes

Gather these supplies: a ruler, yarn, different size washers, nail polish, and a spoon. Help your child to paint the washers with nail polish (parental supervision suggested) so they’re all different colors. When dry, tie yarn around each washer, and tie the other end of the yarn to the end of the ruler. When you have a bunch of washers hanging, your child can either shake it or hit it with the spoon to make different sounds.
